		<description>As one of the people on the other side of those long and actor-boring tech days, it&#039;s always interesting to get the &quot;inside&quot; scoop from your side of things.  Over the past few shows I&#039;ve worked on, I&#039;ve started changing the way I schedule tech.  

Paper techs &amp; dry techs are becoming more and more a part of things - even on the simplest of shows.  With a guest artist contract there isn&#039;t a lot of time to work with the actors - 7 hours/day for rehearsal isn&#039;t much to work with - so by maximizing what I can do without them present, I want to make the most of their time.  When possible, giving them a chance to run at least part of the show each day (with as much tech as we have had time to solve).</description>
